A Thought on Christ’s Conception
I like to think that the very reason Christ was conceived the way He was and came through a virgin birth was because He had to enter the world differently to fulfill His predestined task. If He had entered through a non-virgin, through the normal way of conception, what then would differentiate Him from us? If you are coming to save the world, then perhaps your mode of entry should be distinct from the norm, this ensures that you do not become inflicted with the very sickness that affects everyone and causes them to be indistinguishable, common, and is the very reason they are the way they are.
I firmly believe His unique birth provided Him with an immaculate beginning, enabling Him to accomplish His ultimate goal: the remission of humanity’s sins and the reunification of mankind with the divine. Conversely, I believe that without this unique entry, He would have been just like the rest of us — tainted, blemished, and significantly limited, to the degree that there would be no distinction between the Savior and those who need to be saved.
